CVE-2026-75650
Overview
This vulnerability is an improper neutralization of special elements within the template engine of Adobe Commerce. The root cause lies in insufficient sanitization of user-controllable input embedded in templates, allowing injection of malicious code. The affected component is the template processing mechanism responsible for rendering dynamic content in Adobe Commerce versions including 2.4.4 and its patches.
Vulnerability Description
Adobe Commerce is affected by an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Used in a Template Engine vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed.
Impact
An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code remotely with the privileges of the application user, potentially leading to full system compromise. This allows unauthorized access to sensitive data, manipulation of application behavior, and persistence within the affected environment. No user interaction or prior access is required, increasing the likelihood of automated exploitation and widespread impact on business operations relying on Adobe Commerce.
Solution
Adobe has released security updates addressing this issue in Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.4 and its subsequent patches p1, p10, and p11. Administrators should apply the updates as detailed in Adobe Security Bulletin APSB26-146 available at https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/magento/apsb26-146.html. Following the vendor's instructions for patch installation is critical to mitigate this vulnerability effectively.
